Well, the answer is, On YouTube, a podcast is a group of video episodes collected in a Podcast Playlist.

- Expand Businesses: Helpful for creators who loves to expand and avail of their business in all format (video, audio, VR, etc.).

How to Create a Podcast on YouTube Studio
To create a Podcast properly on YouTube, kindly follow the below steps one by one.
Go to your YouTube Studio, click the CREATE button, and select New Podcast.
A podcast creation dialog box will appear, and you can choose either option:
- Create a New Podcast
- Set An Existing Playlist as a Podcast
Here, I’m selecting the option: Create a New Podcast.
Add your podcast title, description, visibility, and thumbnail to this page.
Kindly add your Podcast name as the title. When a user searches YouTube, this title will show as your Podcast name.
Here the notable point is the Podcast thumbnail, which is required here.
As you have seen, the Podcast thumbnail looks different from regular video thumbnails.
Generally, video thumbnails are rectangular, but podcast thumbnails are square.
Required Podcast Thumbnail Formats:
- Square thumbnail and the recommended size is 1280px by 1280px
- Acceptable formats are JPG, PNG, or GIF.
- Size must be less than 10 MB.
And finally, click the CREATE button.
That’s all; on YouTube Studio, your Podcast created successfully.
To add videos, click ADD VIDEOS button and upload a new video or add your existing content videos as your podcast playlist.
For example, I’m adding my existing video to the newly created Podcast.
Go to Content Videos > Select the video to make a Podcast > Add to Podcast Playlist.
How to Check Podcast Analytics
YouTube provides a separate analytics option to track your podcast performance.
Same as usual video analytics.
Go to Channel Content or click here. Here, choose the Podcast tab.
You can see the available Podcasts, and when you hover the cursor, the Analytics option will show.
Once you click the Analytics hover button, it will take you to the Podcast Analytics page. That’s all.
Equipment for Starting Podcast on YouTube
The followings are the list of the equipment needed for starting a Podcast on a YouTube channel.
I follow the words, the best you choose, the better you can perform.
Sometimes, influencers mislead the viewers to go and buy expensive Podcast products to start a Podcast.
But that’s not mandatory here. All you need is one good microphone initially.

3. Upload Consistently
