YouTube Hype: Boost Your Small Channel Views

At the recent event Made On YouTube, YouTube introduced a new feature called “HYPE.”

Firstly, I want to express our deep appreciation for the small YouTube channel creators. You are not just a part of the YouTube community but an integral part of it.

YouTube understands your challenges and is available to support you in your journey. It values your contributions and the unique content you bring to the platform.

Consider you’re starting a new channel for finance and investment. Can you compete with already top-ranking creators from Day 1?

Quietly, it’s not possible.

The reason is that audiences believe the more significant the channel gets attention, the more they are experts.

So, YouTube conducted a survey to tackle and compete with prominent creators.

And most importantly, most people are willing to support small channel creators.

So, that’s where YouTube introduced this new feature, HYPE! This feature has the potential to level the playing field and give small creators like you a chance to shine. It’s a beacon of hope in the competitive world of YouTube.

What is YouTube HYPE?

YouTube Hype refers to when the channel has less than 500,000 subscribers. For the first week of the video, the audience clicks the HYPE buttonโ€”just as they LIKE or COMMENT on the video.

Once again, saying that, to use the Hype feature, it must needs to follow two requirements:

  • The channel must be less than 5Lakhs subscribers
  • The uploaded video should be less than 7 days

How YouTube Hype Works?

YouTube mentioned that the idea for Hype came from observation from fans!

The audience can hit the hype button when they plan to support your videos.

YouTube Hype

Once you receive a decent number of hypes, your videos will listed among the top 100 hyped videos on the weekly leaderboard.

Anybody can hype the videos three times per week, and YouTube plans to implement the purchase of Hype in the future, unlocking another revenue stream for creators.

So, as creators, being listed on the leaderboard helps them reach new audiences and channels and get better exposure among new people.

Note: This leaderboard process works in the country-wise. Also, this feature is still rolling out in a few countries, and only a few countries are using it now, like Turkey, Taiwan, and Brazil.

Among all this, over 5 million people hyped the YouTube videos across 50K YouTube channels. This is enormous among YouTube for which to work!

Conclusion

YouTube is working hard to increase audiences’ satisfaction and creators’ growth. This feature will roll out in all countries in a few months, and it’s best to utilize it.
